Scot Lowry – The Magic Of Moving Averages

Scot Lowry has always taken on entrepreneurial challenges with the goal of successfully growing a venture — not generating the highest salary. He started his first company without outside capital, leveraging credit card debt, and used all of his savings to purchase his second company.

The experience he gained from these ventures made him the perfect candidate to take on leadership at Fathom in 2007. As president and CEO, he has significantly grown the size, client base and product offerings of the Valley View, Ohio-based full-service digital agency — gaining Fathom regional and national recognition.

The company aims to help clients surpass business and financial goals through digital strategies, offering expertise in areas such as SEO, social media, content development and more. It differentiates from competitors through dedication to four main elements: simplicity, accountability, results and excellence.

To fuel these efforts, Lowry takes a “grow your own” approach to staffing. Operating in an industry where it can be difficult to find talent, developing and empowering Fathom’s employees from within ensures he maintains a strong team who will develop creative ways to gain new customers for clients.

He also empowers employees outside of the agency, giving company support to charities of their choice. Past events and charities Fathom has sponsored include Movember, the Cleveland Foodbank; the American Heart Association Cleveland Heart Walk; and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Light the Night” walk in Cleveland.

Fathom also sponsored Cleveland Social Venture Partners’ 2011 bigBANG! at CSU, to help area non-profits raise funds, and provides pro-bono services to several non-profits including the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
